Beginning the 2005 Season
Now beginning his tenth season with the New York Giants, Amani Toomer is the most productive wide receiver in Giants’ franchise history. His accomplishments highlight his nine years as a wide receiver as well as six years as a punt returner.
Regular Season Franchise Records:
Amani holds the franchise record for the most yards gained in a single season with 1343 yards gained in 2002 and is #3 on the franchise list with 1183 yards gained in 1999. He is #8 with 1094 yards gained in 2000, #9 (tied with Homer Jones) with 1057 yards gained in 2003 and #10 with 1057 yards gained in 2001.
Amani holds the records for the most 100-yard receiving games with 21 and the most consecutive games with a pass reception with 98 catches between 1998-2004.
He tops the list of Giants career yardage leaders with 7113 yards.
Amani is #1 with 82 receptions in 2002, #2 with 79 receptions in 1999, #3 with 78 receptions in 2000 and tied for #6 with 72 receptions in 2001.
Over a three-year span, Amani tops the list with 232 catches for the period 2000-02. He’s #2 with 229 receptions between 1999-01, #3 with 217 catches between 2001-03 and #4 with 196 receptions between 2002-04.
He has at least 1000 receiving yards in 5 consecutive seasons and more than 50 receptions and 700 yards in 6 consecutive seasons.
With 469 career receptions, Amani is #2, 5 catches behind Tiki Barber.
Amani is tied for 2nd place for the most touchdowns scored in a single game with 3 touchdowns scored at Indianapolis in 2002.
His 204 yards gained at Indianapolis put him in 3rd place for the most yards gained in a single game. He’s #6 with 193 yards gained on 12/23/00 against Jacksonville.
Amani is #4 on the Giants’ franchise list with 37 career touchdowns.
As a Punt Returner: (1996-01)
Amani Toomer holds the record for the longest punt return in franchise history, 87 yards and a touchdown against Buffalo on 9/1/96.
He tops the list for the highest average return in one season, with 16.6 yards based on 18 returns in 1996.
Amani is in 2nd place with 2 touchdowns in one season and 3rd place with 3 touchdowns in his career as a return man.
He is in 3rd place for the highest average return for a career with a 10.1-yard average based on 101 returns between 1996-2001.
Amani is in 3rd place with 47 punt returns in a single season (1997).
He is in 5th place overall among the top ten punt returners with 1,019 yards gained between 1996-2001.
Amani is also in 5th place for the most punt return yards in a single game (113 yards) as well as in a single season (455 yards).

Amani scored 3 touchdowns and 136 yards with 8 receptions at San Francisco on 1/5/03.
His longest reception was 46 yards from quarterback Kerry Collins at San Francisco on 1/5/03.
